A native of Cherokee County, she was the wife of the late Glenn Thomas Peterson and daughter of the late Hunter and Flora Ellis White. She was retired from Weavetec and was a member of Broad River Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter - Glenda Peterson Hopkins and husband, John, of Spartanburg, SC; extended family members and her beloved cats - Sammy and Shortcake. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her brother - James "Joe" Garland White.A Celebration Of Life Service will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2014, 11:00 AM, at Mt. Whitaker Baptist Church, Blacksburg, SC, with Dr. Timothy "Bo" Waldrop and John H. Hopkins officiating. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service. At other times, they will be at the home.
