Athens - Betty Jean Smith, 58, of Athens, died Friday, April 9, 2010. Services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at Jackson-McWhorter Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Survivors include children, Tracy Watson and Terrell Kinney; sisters, Elizabeth Platt, Patricia Peek and Gertrude Dye; brother, John Darnell Smith; four GC, and one GGC. A wake will be 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Jackson-McWhorter Funeral Home, Athens, has charge of arrangements.
