Weaver - Funeral service for Bertie B. Carter, 83, of Weaver, will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2013, at Gray Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel Harper officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Carter died Tuesday night at Piedmont Healthcare. Survivors include daughter, Barbara (Joe) Wright; grandchildren, Anthony (Luanne) Wright, Jason (Angie) Wright; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Marlie, and Brylee Wright, Katie and Landon Johnson; sisters, Arnevis (Curtis) Beason, Deborah (Jim) Brotherton, and Geneva (Billy) Weathers; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Carter is preceded in death by her husband, Millard L. Carter. Pallbearers will be Anthony Wright, Jason Wright, Mike Crowe, Jimmy Beason, Curtis Beason, and Scott Beason. Mrs. Cater was a member of New Canaan Baptist church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She will be greatly missed by all who know her.
