BARBARA ROCHEBLAVE BENNETT DAVIS1920-2007Barbara died Tuesday, March 20, 2007. Born March 30, 1920 in Pensacola, Barbara was the fifth generation of Rocheblaves born and raised in Pensacola. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Frances Rocheblave; brothers, Benito (Sonny Boy), Francis and Bernard; her sister, Marie Brown; her husband of 45 years, Hoyt Bennett and her second husband of 2 years, Robert "Dave" Davis.Survivors include her sister, Betty Carvalis; brother, Kenneth (Lois); sons, James Bennett (Jane) and Ray Bennett; grandchildren, David Bennett of New York (Sara, in Iraq) Tony Bennett (Jill), of Panama City, David Jones (Melinda) of Gulf Breeze, and Reverend Father Edward Jones, Blessed Sacrament Parish, Tallahassee; 6 great grandchildren; nephews, Lewis Rocheblave (Margaret), Jack Brown (Marge), Thomas Brown (Faye), William Brown (Louise), Leo Carvalis (Linda); niece, Diane Rocheblave Coleman (Richard).She will be very much missed by her family and friends. She loved having family and friends to her home for cookouts. She was an avid doll collector with many dolls in her collection.Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2007 at FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME SOUTH, with her grandson, Father Edward Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Bayview Memorial Park.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 22.The family would like to thank Covenant Hospice at West Florida Hospital for the excellent care given to Barbara in her last days.
