(Sonny) Morrison; parents, Rev. & Mrs. W.E. Middlebrooks; two brothers, Glenn and Hugh Middlebrooks; two sisters, Frances Pitman and Helen Boswell; her father-in-law, Malcolm Morrison and her mother-in-law, Amanda Morrison.She is survived by her son, Scott Morrison (Stacy); daughter, Debbie Morrison (Mike Lane); step-grandsons, Sean (Ashlee) Lane and Scott Lane, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and their families.Mrs. Morrison was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church and the Hupomeno Sunday School Class. She was a graduate of Florida State University and a teacher with the Escambia County School District for 25 years. In 1986, she was selected as "Teacher of the Year" for A.K. Suter School. She has been a volunteer at the Hospice Residence for Hospice of Northwest FL, a volunteer in the adult literacy program of "Learn to Read of Northwest FL", and a volunteer in the Surgery Family Waiting Room at Baptist Hospital.Visitation will be held 5-7 PM Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel.Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Friday, March 30, 2012 at St. Mark United Methodist Church with Rev. Nancy Watson officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 PM at Magnolia Cemetery located near Laurel Hill, FL. Honorary pallbearers are members of the St. Mark Hupomeno Sunday School Class and Supper Club 1.Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church, 2203 N. 12th Ave., Pensacola, FL 32503.The family wishes to express their appreciation to everyone who helped make these last few years comfortable for Barbara by providing excellent care, and most especially, to Joyce Tracy, who was always her special angel.HARPER-MORRIS MEMORIAL CHAPEL is in charge of arrangements.Express your condolences in our guestbook at pnj.com/obits
