Barbara Joan Walker, age 59, Florence, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2002.The service will be Monday, July 29, 2002, at 1 p.m. at Spry Serenity Chapel of Sheffield. Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in New Brick Cemetery.Mrs. Walker was a native of Colbert County. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Walker.Survivors include her mother, Roxie Walker of Leighton; sisters, Shirley Cummings of Decatur, Beverly Woodis of Muscle Shoals, Kay Derrick of Muscle Shoals, Cora Loftin of Muscle Shoals; brothers, Buddy Walker of Ford City, Jerry Walker of Muscle Shoals and Jackie Walker of Ford City.Friends will serve as pallbearers.A special thanks to Glenwood Nursing Home and staff for the excellent care Miss Walker received.Spry Serenity Chapel of Sheffield is directing.
