AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Barbara A. Smith age 74, wife of Gerald Smith entered into rest at Doctors Hospital on October 14, 2010. Services will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. in the Elliott Sons Funeral Home Telfair St. Chapel with Reverend Sherrell Dunn officiating. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mrs. Smith was a retired receptionist with the Augusta Housing Authority, she also worked with the Coca Cola company. Additional survivors include, one sister, Faye Cawley, one brother, Ted Russell, two stepchildren, Gerald Smith Jr. and Alice Lawrence. Six step -grandchildren, nieces, Betty Usry , Frances Joiner, Lynn McDearis, Jill Syms, Laura Waters, Rita Phillips, Wendy Russell, Amanda Fredricks and Sherry Hurst. and nephews, James Parker Jr., Bill Cawly Jr., Artimus Smith and Pat Smith The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, October 16, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
