LEE, (S/L) Austin (Al) Passed away peacefully with his sons at his side on June 3, 2011, in his 89th year. He was predeceased by his wife Betty (Ragg) in 2004 after 56 years of marriage. He is survived by his sons David (Gail) of Tsawwassen and Dick (Mary) of Kitchener, as well as, his seven grandchildren: Stephen, Michael, Elizabeth, Jonathan, Brian, Malcolm, and Diane. He was predeceased by his two sisters, Dorothy Ragg and Joan Leggatt as well as his brother Bernard. A veteran of WW2, he graduated from the University of Saskatchewan after the war, and subsequently returned to the RCAF, serving in Alberta, B.C., Labrador, Quebec, Germany, and Ontario. He also worked at Loyola College and Concordia University in Montreal prior to retiring to Victoria, B.C. The family wishes to express its appreciation to the staff of the Waterford Care Center in Tsawwassen for their compassion and care to Al. A Memorial Service will be held at ST. LUKE'S ANGLICAN CHURCH in Victoria, 3821 Cedar Hill X Road, on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospices or other charities.
