Ardell Mary Godwin, 94, of Niceville, Fla., passed away June 27, 2011.Ardell was born March 16, 1917, in Fults, Ill., to Wendel and Mary Valentine. Ardell was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother.She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Curtis B. Godwin. Mrs. Godwin is survived by her children: daughters, Donna Swann of Sterling, Va., Debbie Tate of Vicksburg, Miss., and son, Robert Godwin of Waldorf, Md.; seven grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and by all who knew and loved her. Her little dog, Missy, will also miss her very much.A time of visitation will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Niceville from 9 to 11 a.m., with a Celebration of Life service to begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 1. Burial will follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Dennis W.
