PETERS - Ann "Nancy " (nee Friesen), of Saskatoon, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2007, on her 88th birthday at St. Paul's Hospital. She will be sadly missed by her children, Dan Peters, Esther (Dieter) Marohn, Lawrence (Ruth) Peters, Ethel Richardson, Eva (Dennis) Wahoski, Robert (Sherry) Peters, Ruben (Kay) Peters, John (Judy) Peters, Lynn (Rod) Hessdorfer, Leonard (Roxanne) Peters; 20 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She will also be remembered by sister, Kay Judin; brothers, Peter (Helen) Friesen, Neil (Dorothy) Friesen; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ann was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, John in 2006. She was also predeceased by her parents; sister, Maria; brothers, Abe, Johann, Johann, Cornelius; son, Allen Peters; and granddaughter, Danielle Wahoski. Ann was born on December 9, 1919 in Neuanlage, Saskatchewan to Johann and Katharina (Zacharias) Friesen. Mother's life work was as a wife, mother and grandmother. She will always be remembered for her baking and fattening us all up on her wonderful Mennonite cuisine. We will all cherish the personal cookbooks we received from her last Christmas. Mom's love and concern for family and friends was well-known and appreciated by all. She enjoyed any time she could spend playing games and socializing with loved ones. Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Mennonite Church, 111 Witney Ave. N., Saskatoon, SK with interment to follow.
