Yvonne Talbot, born in 1859, spouse of Wayne Talbot, daughter of Mastai and Agnes, died on December 30, 1935 at 76 years old.
Yvonne Louise Jeanne Talbot (nee Belisle) December 30, 1935 February 5, 2012 Yvonne Talbot, age 76, passed away peacefully at St. Paul's Hospital Palliative Care Unit surrounded by her family. Her eight year hard fought battle with cancer is now over, no more pain or suffering. Yvonne was the youngest of twelve. She was predeceased by her parents, Mastai and Agnes Belisle, eight brothers and two sisters. Yvonne is survived by her husband, Wayne, of 51 years; four daughters: Carrie and her children Mitch, Patrick, Hayley and Anna; Sheriann (Earle Woodside) and their daughters, Jennifer (Ryan Sadoway) and Natalie; Laureen (Wes Lang) and their children, Tyler, Ashley and twins, Chad and Brett; and Jackie (Brad Caldwell) and their children, Caroline and Jamie; her sister, Rose (Rod Olsson); sistersin-law, Cecile, Jen, Jeanne, Marie and Madeleine; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and last but not least her companion pet, Champ. Yvonne enjoyed the simple things in life. Her greatest pleasure was organizing, hosting and celebrating family birthday parties, anniversaries, special occasions and holidays. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. She loved to travel, visit family and friends, and especially liked Las Vegas. She followed her children and grandchildren all over North America cheering them on in their sports and many other activities. She was very proud of them all. Yvonne was a true and faithful friend putting everyone else first, ahead of herself. If you were one of her friends you were truly blessed. Yvonne worked for the Bank of Commerce before marrying Wayne in 1960. In 1973 when they moved to Saskatoon she began working at Sears and retired in 1991. The Vigil for Yvonne will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10, 2012, and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2012, both services at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church (114 Kingsmere Place). The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at RUH, 6100 Cancer Clinic and the Palliative Care team at St. Paul's Hospital for their TLC. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (101-440 2nd Ave N, Saskatoon, S7K 2C3).
