GUÉNARD, Yvonne Rose (née Vaillancourt) - The family announces with sorrow, her death in Sudbury, Tuesday, September 26th, 2006 at the age of 94 years. Daughter of the late Edouard and of the late Anne (née Prieur) Vaillancourt. Wife of the late Valère Guénard, predeceased in 1984. Loving mother of Gisèle Guénard (John Maki) of Worthington and Marc Guénard (Tina) of Markstay. Predeceased in 1998 by her son Michel . Dear sister of Albert Vaillancourt (Lois) of Timmins, Rita Bédard-Lazowik (Larry) of Alban, Emélie Laurin (late Léo) of Sudbury and Marie- Jeanne Young of Aylmer. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Joseph, Lucienne Desmarais (late Germain), Hormidas (late Berthe), Hervé (late Rose), Alfred (late Jeanne), Eugène (Joan of Toronto) and Adrien (late June). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Holly Herman (Ross) of Calgary and Sarah Armitage (Paul Sauvé) of Sudbury. Yvonne's career was that of Nanny for Sudbury's well known “Edward's “ family, whose children came to love her as everyone did and visited her well into her aging years. Those who were fortunate enough to have been touched by Yvonne's spirit know of her deep devotion to God, St. Theresa of the Child Jesus and to the Catholic Church. For these reasons, donations in memory of Yvonne Guénard may be made to St. Mark's Catholic Church, The society of the Little Flower or to the CNIB would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury Thursday, from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, September 29th, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Marc's Church, Markstay. 10367907
