->JACKMAN - Yvette Francoise Larochelle, age 84, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2014, surrounded by her family. She was born on September 30, 1930, in Saint-Honoré, Quebec, the daughter of Julianne Poulin and Gédéon Gagné, and stepdaughter of Yvonne Lagueux. Yvette was raised in Saint-Prosper and married Alfrédas Larochelle in 1954 and a year later moved to Jackman, Maine.She was predeceased by her husband ,Alfrédas Larochelle and two sisters, Cécile Poulin and her husband, Antoine Poulin, and Irene Gagné and her husband, Raymond Gagné. She is survived by her sister, Martine Gagné and her husband, Jules Bouchard of Levis, Quebec, and brothers, Roger Gagné and his wife, Jacqueline of Saint-Georges, Quebec, Lucien Gagné and his wife, Jacqueline of Saint-Georges, Quebec, and Gaétan Gagné and his wife, Pauline of Saint-Prosper, Quebec.Yvette spent the majority of her life in Jackman, Maine, where she raised six children and worked at the Jackman Health Center. She was active in the Red Hat Society and St. Anthony Parish. Yvette was a loving person who was very hardworking and compassionate. She enjoyed walking, reading, and listening to music by Celine Dion. In her retirement years she spent countless hours visiting the sick.The greatest joy in her life was her family. She is survived by her daughters, Francine Moore and her husband, Mark of Jackman, ME, France Larochelle and her husband, Steve McAllister of Danville, IA, Jeannine Larochelle and her husband, Dale Weeks of Cape Elizabeth, ME, and Jeanne Larochelle and Don Veysey of Winslow, ME, and her sons, Jacques Larochelle and his wife, Carolyn Larochelle of Bangor, ME, and Richard Larochelle and his wife, Camillia Larochelle of Wasilla, AK. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren: Matthieu, Michael, Nicholas, Christian, Ryan, and Jacques Larochelle; Christopher and Brandon Moore; Garrett and Travis McAllister; Cameron Larochelle and Jay Stearns; and Kevin, Kyle, and Kira Larochelle; and ten great grandchildren. She loved to travel the country to visit her grandchildren and took great joy in following their activities. Yvette also greatly enjoyed going to Quebec to see her extended family.During the last two years of her life Yvette had a second family at Tissues Country Estates in Athens, Maine. The wonderful and compassionate staff made her feel at home and truly loved. The family would also like to thank Maine General Home Care and Hospice for the great care they provided during her last days.Friends and family are invited to call from 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2014 and 8:30-9:45 a.m. Thursday, October 30, 2014 at St. Anthony Parish, 366 Main Street, Jackman, Maine. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 30, 2014 at St. Anthony Parish. A graveside service will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Giberson Funeral Home, Bingham, Maine. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Paula Henry/Staff Appreciation Fund at Tissues Country Estates, 212 Fox Hill Road, Athens, ME 04912, or to St. Anthony Parish, 366 Main Street, Jackman, ME 04945.
