Wilma G. Millerof Susquehanna, Pa.Wilma G. Miller, 70, of RD#3, Susquehanna, Pa., passed away on Friday, June 13, 2003, at Community Medical Center, Scranton, Pa., after an illness. She was born in Harmony Township, Pa., the daughter of the late Leslie and Cassie (Quick) Spoonhower. She was predeceased by her husband, Oscar A. Miller, on November 24, 1986; two sisters, Lillian Cook, and Virginia Skinner; and one brother, Sheridan Spoonhower, Wilma is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Oscar and Kathy Miller Jr., Peter and Michelle Miller, Christopher and Joni Miller; three daughters and one son-in-law, Cassandra Slocum and Mark Skiba, Catherine Miller and Mark Williams, Karlyn and Richard Voege; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Joan and Sal Ficarro, Mary Lou Keesler; eight grandchildren, Christopher and Kylie Slocum, Cassie, Ashley, Christian, Geena Miller, and Skyler and Samantha Voege; two sisters-in-law, Marie Lindstrom, Anna Hobart; one brother-in-law, Cecil Greenwood; special cousin, Horace and Helen Liebig; and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the St. John's Church, Susquehanna. She previously worked at Matis Manufacturing, Barnes Kasson Hospital, through the Green Thumb Program, and the Starucca Post Office. Wilma was a square dance caller for several years. She also served on the Election Board for Harmony Twp., and was an Auditor for Harmony Twp.The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at 9:30 a.m. at the Hennessey's Funeral Home, 208 Jackson Ave., Susquehanna, and 10 a.m. at the St. John's Church, Susquehanna, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by the Rev. Charles Connor. Burial will be in the St. John's Cemetery, Susquehanna, Pa. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Barnes Kasson Hospital, Turnpike St., Susquehanna, Pa. 18847.
