Homegoing celebration for Deacon Willis "Chip" Williams, 84, Gadsden, who passed on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, at the Overcoming Church, Ashville. Bishop Charles Williams pastor. Rev. Thomas Trammell, officiating. Burial will be at Ashville Cemetery. West Gadsden Funeral Home directing.He leaves to cherish his loving memories, three sons, Larry (Patricia) Williams, Alfonza (Marion) Williams and Cedric (Deidre) Williams; one daughter, Kimberly Dillon, all of Gadsden; three brothers, S.J. (Sheila) Williams, Ashville, Wesley (Louise) Williams, Gadsden, and Henry (Kathryn) Williams, Ashville; two sisters, Bessie Whisenant and Ella Williams, both of Ashville; one brother-in-law, Jack Phillips, Birmingham; one sister-in-law, Eloise Williams, Attalla; 27 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many dear friends.Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family hour will be from 6 to 7 this evening at Victory Missionary Baptist Church, North Gadsden, Rev. Thomas Trammell, pastor.You have our deepest sympathy.
