Willis H. Williams SUMTER Funeral service for Mr. Willis Harry Williams, 95, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015, in the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel of Lexington with burial to follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family. Mr. Williams passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015. He was born July 30, 1919, in Swansea to the late Harry Lee and Lucy Smith Williams. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in WW II. Mr. Williams retired from Brown Transport where he was a truck driver for more than 30 years. He is survived by his sons, Donald (Jeri) Williams of Tucker, GA, and Douglas (Shelby) Williams of Lancaster, KY; grandchildren, Courtney, Shara and Darrell; great-grandchild, Bentley; and sister, Barbara Price of Cayce. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Willie Zelda Coker Williams; sister, Burdell Aull; brothers, R.T. Williams, Wylie Williams, Joe Williams, Iva Williams and Norman Williams. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3223 Sunset Boulevard #100, West Columbia, SC 29169. Online condolences may be made at www.thompsonsfuneral.com.
