Mrs. Willie Violet Turpen Anderson, 80, of Florence, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2003.Mrs. Anderson graduated from Central High School and started the first She was preceded in death by her husband, John William Anderson; a sister, Shirley Cook; and a brother, W.O. Turpen Jr.The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. today at Elkins Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Elkins chapel. Anderson and wife, Jacque, of Florence; sisters, La Rue Cobb of Athens, Judy Himmelright of Athens; brothers, Brandon Turpen of Florence and Bobby R.
