Willie Mae NeSmith Carter Services for Willie Mae NeSmith Carter, 90, of Tallahassee, formerly of Thomasville, are at 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 30, 2009 at Allen and Allen Funeral Chapel (229-226- 6331) in Thomasville, Ga. Interment is in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Thomasville, Ga. Mrs. Carter joined her Heavenly Father on Nov. 27. Born, April 6, 1919, in Thomas County, she was one of 9 siblings born to the late William and Missouri NeSmith.She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Quincy Suber, whom she had three children. She later married John I. Sheffield and they had one child. When their marriage ended, she later married Lloyd Carter, who preceded her in death after 42 years of marriage. She moved to Tallahassee in 1959 with her family.She was a homemaker and an excellent cook. She generously loved to cook for her family and friends. They would often drop by for a delicious glass of tea or a cup of coffee, large slice of homemade cake and a wonderful chat with her. Family and friends have gathered together the last three years to celebrate her birthday in a very special way. She was a beautiful and very special lady and will be missed by all here on earth but Heaven and family already there are rejoicing.Recently, she has been talking about wanting to see all of her loved ones who are waiting for her in Heaven. ALL IS WELL. We will see you again one day. Praise God. Survivors include her children, Helen Suber Evans and husband Sidney, Calvin Quincy Suber and wife, Barbara and Linda Sheffield Kinsey and husband, Don; grandchildren, Timothy Evans and wife, Beth, Cynthia Evans Thompson and husband, Kevin, Tonya Suber Duncan and husband, Bruce, Lisa Suber Munroe and husband, Ray, Tracy Suber Holcomb and husband, Kenny and Troy Kinsey and wife, Robin; great-grandchildren, Dana Evans, Rebecca Evans, Ashley Duncan, Ashton Duncan, Laura Munroe, Logan Holcomb, Laurelee Holcomb, Calynne Thompson, Ashlynne Thompson, Chelsey Kinsey, Terry Lee Black and Ivy Ranzinger; sister, Clara Bell Carter; brother, Howard NeSmith; numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her eldest son, Sonny Boy Suber. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. Visitors may sign the online guest register at www.allenfh.com.
