Funeral for Willie Mae Davis, 81, of Decatur will be today, May 16, 2005, at 11 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Harold Coomer officiating.Burial will be in Caddo Congregational Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Davis died Saturday, May 14, 2005, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born Nov. 12, 1923, in Pennsylvania to Thomas and Martha Scott. She had been a resident of Decatur since 1953. She was a member of Caddo Congregational Church. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, William Oscar Davis; a daughter, Betty Jean Kornis; and a son, David Eugene Davis.Survivors include six sons, Ted Davis of Moulton, Terry Davis of Decatur, Sammy Davis of Trinity, Larry Davis of Danville, Raymond Davis of Sheffield and Phillip Davis of Mount Hope; two sisters, Jewel Line of Sydney, Ohio, and Pauline Tidwell of Sheffield; one brother, Peter Bob Scott of Tuscumbia; 16 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
