WYANDANCH, N.Y. - Mr. Willie E. Williams of Wyandanch, formerly of Waynesboro, Ga., age 86, went to be with the lord on January 4, 2004. Willie was the son of John and Rosa (Saxon) Williams of Waynesboro. He was a graduate of Burke County schools, served in the Army during WWII, and was employed by the Veterans Administration until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys; brothers John, George, and Francis; and his much adored sisters Cleo, and Ethel. Surviving are daughters Valerie Williams of Wyandanch, Melanie (Darryl) Walker of Lansing, Mich. and Lillie Mae (Francis) Blake of Terre Haute, Ind.; brothers, James Williams and Benjamin Williams of Waynesboro, Ga.; five grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2004 at the Claude R. Boyd-Caratozzolo Funeral Home, 1785 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park N.Y.
