Willie D. "Jack" Jackson Willie D. "Jack" Jackson, 79, a retired hotel and restaurant inspector in Miami for the state of Florida, died Friday, Dec. 13, 2002. The service will be at 11 a.m. EST Saturday at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, with burial at Southside Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. EST Friday at Strong and Jones Funeral Home chapel (224-2139).The funeral cortege will assemble at 10:30 a.m. EST Saturday at 4007 Roscrea Drive. The Rev. R.B. Holmes will officiate. He was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and the Florida A&M University Special Edition Club. He retired from the Army. Survivors include a son, Ernest Dawkins of Chattahoochee; two daughters, Shirley Jackson Brown (and husband Thomas) and Barbara Jackson, both of Tallahassee; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a devoted wife-friend, Ola Bell Holiday of Tallahassee.
