CARTER, WILLIAM VIRGIL, 61 Mr. William Virgil Carter 61, resident of Hampton, FL passed away Friday, July 28, 2006 in Hampton. He was born in Gainesville, FL and a life long resident of Bradford County. He was a fire fighter with NAS Jacksonville, retiring in 1984. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his father, William "Dub" Carter. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Carter and a daughter, Lisa Gnann both of Hampton, a step-daughter, Denise Criswell of Ocala, his mother, Leila Carter and a sister, Joann Bryant both of Hampton. One granddaughter, Megan Cowan of Hampton, two step-granddaughters, Kerri Gnann of Gainesville and Samantha Criswell of Ocala and a niece, Rhonell Wilkins of Hampton. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at the chapel of Archie Tanner Funeral Home, 14397 U.S. Hwy 301 S., Starke, FL with Rev. Paul Estes officiating with burial in Crosby Lake Cemetery. ARCHIE TANNER FUNERAL HOME of Starke in charge of arrangements.
