William "Bill" Strickland William "Bill" Strickland, 72, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, April 26, 2011. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 29, 7:00 pm at Elm City Missionary Baptist Church followed by visitation. He is survived by his wife, Mozelle Penny Strickland; mother, Lucille Gardner Alford of Wilson; daughter, Sandy Wagner; sons, William Strickland (Donald), Thomas Strickland (Tara), Nick Rogers (Becki) and Chris Rogers (Chrystel); 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and brothers, Eldon Strickland (Georgia) and Dean Strickland (Betty). Bill has donated his body for research to Duke Medical Center, in order to help others, even in his death.
