William "Pete" H. Ross Lansing, IL William "Pete" H. Ross, age 59 of Lansing, IL, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Rhonda (nee Hauther); one son, William David (Michelle) of Griffith; one daughter, Kendra Elizabeth (Dion) Grutzius of Lynwood; one granddaughter, Audrey Michelle Ross; two brothers, James (JoAnn) of Lansing and Randy (Sandy) Ross of Maryville, TN; four nephews, Mark, Jimmy, Chris and Josh and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death; by his parents, William Ross and Lois Ryder and his grand- parents. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2004 from 2:00-9:00 p.m. at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, IL with funeral services to be held in Georgia later this week. Interment at the Holly Creek Cemetery in Chats-worth, GA. William was a Viet Nam veteran, serving in the U.S. Army in the 25th Army Infantry Unit from 1963 to 1966. He was retired after 25 years of service from Local Number 5 of the Laborers International Union of Chicago Heights, IL. William was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed by all his friends and family.
