ROSS, William Bates Born June 5, 1921. Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and loved ones on June 26, 2010. Predeceased by beloved wife Mary, son-in-law Simon and three sisters. Bill is survived by children David (Doreen), Philip, Paul (Karen), Kathleen and Kenneth; 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and cherished sister-in-law Christina Adam. Bill served in the Coldstream Guards in WW II. He proudly retired as superintendent of Edmonton City Police after 27 years of service. A devoted Husband, Father and loving Grandfather who cared dearly for his family and will be deeply missed. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Good Shepherd Catholic Church 2250-150 Street in White Rock on Wednesday, June 30, 2010. Viewing will be held at 12:00 noon with Mass beginning at 1:00 p.m. and interment to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Gardens of Gethsemani Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bill may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of BC.
