LYONS, WILLIAM R. "BILL," 76, of Shelbyville, KY, formerly of Louisville, passed away Friday, June 15, 2012. Bill was a retired sales rep for Ohio Valley Flooring. He graduated from Valley High School, was a Navy veteran and a member of the Church of the Annunciation in Shelbyville. Known as "Mr. Bill", he drove the after school van for the Clear Creek Park in Shelbyville. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, the former Edith Schoenbaechler; two sons, Bob Lyons (Mary Ann) and Mark Lyons. Grandchildren: Jeremy, Brian (Megan), Craig (Sarah), Kelsey and Maredith Lyons. A brother, Marvin Lyons (Gail) and two sisters, Rita Ogle (Wes) and Donna Thompson. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Catholic Church, 6901 Dixie Hwy., with burial following at St. Andrew Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at J.E. Ratterman's, 7336 Southside Dr. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at the Church of the Annunciation in Shelbyville on Wednesday at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the After School Camp at the Family Activities Center, Clear Creek Park, 717 Burks Branch Rd., Shelbyville, KY 40065.
