William J. Peters, 83, died April 12, 2007, at St. Lucie Medical Center in Port St. Lucie. He was born in Buffalo, N.Y., and lived in Port St. Lucie for seven years, coming from Naples and Milford, Conn. Before retirement, he was employed by Southern Connecticut Gas Co. in Bridgeport, Conn., for 25 years. He served in the Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion. He was a Catholic. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Peters of Port St. Lucie; daughter, Sharon Wilson of Port St. Lucie; sons, William Peters and Michael Peters, both of Port St. Lucie; sister, Mary Lou Roche of Naples; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. SERVICES: Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. April 15 at Aycock Funeral Home, Port St. Lucie. The service will be in Milford under the direction of Cody-White Funeral Home, with burial in Milford Cemetery.
