A service will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church. Creal Funeral Home, St. Petersburg, is in charge. Survivors include his wife, Jessie Birice; son William Jr.; daughter Tameche Brown; brothers Thomas Packer, Jack Packer, and Theorphilues Rose; and sister Deborah Thomas.
