GUNTER, William P. "Pete," 76, of Lutz, went home to be with the Lord August 14, 2009. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved his family, and his Lord, a man that never met a stranger. He was a member of the Local Union 915 I.B.E.W. and a long time member and Deacon at the Idlewild Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Grace Gunter. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Virginia "Ginny" Gunter; their children, Caren Popovics and Rita Trent; his sister, Doris Dyal and her husband, Loyd; his brother, George Gunter and wife, Marietta; grand- children, Melissa Popovics, Cheva Fowler and Michael Popovics; and seven great- grandchildren. A visitation for Mr. Gunter will take place 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening August 18, 2009, at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at the Idlewild Baptist Church, 13871 N. Dale Mabry Highway, Lutz, FL 33548.
