William "Billy" Michael Maks, 53, Longboat Key, died June 23, 2003. He was born June 4, 1950, in Detroit and came to Longboat Key in 1998 from Texas. He was a boat mechanic and an Army veteran. He was a Catholic. Survivors include his parents, Robert and June of Sterling Heights, Mich.; a sister, Kerry Turner of Traverse City, Mich., and Mary Crume of Utica, Mich.; and a brother, Robert E. of Shelby, Mich. No services are scheduled. The Good Earth Crematory, Bradenton Chapel, is in charge.
