LEE _ William Cyril (Cy) passed away in his sleep at his home at Canada Way Care Centre on November 15, 2002. He was born in Hazelton on January 27, 1911. He will be fondly remembered by Florence (Flo), his loving wife for 62 years, his son Randy, brother Kenneth and his wife Judy, cousin Vera Taber and many other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his brother Robert. Cy played on the U.B.C. basketball team, Canadian champions in 1931, and enjoyed a lifetime career in the mortgage investment business with Mutual Life and the Mortgage Insurance Company of Canada. During the war, he served with the Y.M.C.A. War Services attached to the R.C.A.F. He was active with Queen's Avenue United Church and number of service organizations including Kiwanis, the New Westminster Chamber of Commerce and the New Westminster and District Junior Concert Band Society. In retirement, he curled at the Royal City Curling Club, where he became a life member. He was always an optimistic man with a ready smile who was well-liked by those he met. Cy will be greatly missed. Thanks of the family goes to the staff at Canada Way Care Centre for their kindliness. At his request there will be no services.
