William Lee Smith, 16, Seymour, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at his residence. He enjoyed going on walks with his brothers and especially enjoyed a trip with his family to Florida to swim with dolphins. Born Dec. 16, 1991, he was a son of Stacy Smith Ruddick, who survives. Other survivors include two brothers, Dylan and Philip Ruddick, both of Seymour; grandparents, Francis and Hope Gayle Deppe, North Vernon, and Ernie and Virginia Smith, Columbus; great-grandmother, Elizabeth Pennington, North Vernon; an aunt, Nicole Waldon; and an uncle, Joshua Smith. The Rev. Larry Arrowood will conduct graveside services at 3 p.m. Friday at Vernon Cemetery Memorials may be given to the family through the funeral home.
