Carter, William L. Chili: Age 88, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Monday, March 1, 2010. Predeceased by his son, Lynn W. Carter. Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Doris (McBride) Carter; daughters, Dale (Warren) Heintz of Springwater, NY and Kim V. Lowrey of TX; grandchildren, Tory (Jaime) Decker of Springwater, NY, Taber Decker of FL, Trevor Decker of FL, Jody Vine of TX, Jamie Vine of Ontario, NY; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, David (Marjorie) Carter of Hannibal, NY; several nieces and nephews and beloved cat, Cougar. William was a Veteran of World War II and a proud recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a retiree of Eastman Kodak. In accordance with his wishes, his body has been bequeathed to the Anatomical Gift Program at the University of Rochester Medical Center and as requested by him, there will be no memorial service.
