IN MEMORY of WILLIAM KENT McPHEE In loving memory of my father William Kent McPhee, who died on July 30, 2008 at the age of 82. Predeceased by daughter Shirley Elizabeth Herringer, his brother John McPhee and sister Elizabeth Campbell. Survived by daughter Barbara Louise McPhee of Calgary and his sisters Margaret Stevenson and Lucille Hunter of Edmonton. My father worked in the oil industry during the 1940's through to the 1960's and was, as many were in those days, a pioneer in oil and gas exploration in Alberta and the North West Territories. He was a successful entrepreneur in real estate and took great pride in the ownership of his properties. Throughout his working years he developed many lifelong relationships, colleagues were friends and tenants turned into family. For all of his accomplishments, his true success was measured by the friends that he made, and in that respect he will be missed by many. Neighbors and friends alike would look forward to "having a talk with Bill" as he always had a joke or a funny story to tell. We will all miss his generous spirit and kindheartedness but mostly we will miss his incredible sense of humor and the way he always managed to find the lighter side of life. In honor of his life, his memory and his spirit, a private ceremony will be held in Lacombe, Alberta, to return him to his place of birth and his family. We will place him to rest and keep him forever in our hearts.
