->Keefe, William F.William F. Keefe of Brewster died at home Monday, March 28 2011after a brief illness. He was 81.Born on August 27, 1929 in Ossining, son of the late William and Anastasia (Burns) Keefe he attended Ossining schools and graduated from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry. He married Eleanor Foley on September 3, 1955 at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church in Brewster.A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served from 1947 to 1950, most of this time on the submarine, the USS Tilefish. Bill joined the New York State Police in 1953 and served in Troops K, H, A and D. He retired in 1979 as Troop Commander from Troop D. He later became a security specialist for Lederle Laboratories and subsequently was self-employed as a security consultant. During his retirement he was active with the Brewster Public Library book sales and Concerned Residents of Southeast.Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters Susan Kealy (John), Nancy Keefe, Laura Oller (John), Donna Napolitano (Richard); his son William (Claire) and nine grandchildren.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, 10 am at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church. Interment will follow at St. Lawrence O'Toole Cemetery. Friends may call at the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Brewster Public Library or a charity of your choice
