JenkinsGreerWilliam Earl "Bill" Jenkins, 87, died November 18, 2014 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.A native of Johnston, South Carolina, son of the late Andrew Lamar and Irvy Lee Berry Jenkins, he was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII, a retired employee of Independent Life Insurance Company after 31 years of service and a member of Greer First Baptist Church where he served his Lord as a former usher for 41 years.Surviving are his wife, Mary Stevenson Jenkins of the home; a daughter, Suzanne J. Traenkle of Greer; a sister-in-law, Olga Jenkins of Lake Placid, Florida; a niece, Arlene Jenkins Tuck of Lake Placid, Florida; eight nieces and nephews; and numerous other great-nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday at Greer First Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. Rick Ezell and Rev. Dave Dupree. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.Honorary escort will be the ushers of Greer First Baptist Church.Visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 p.m. Friday at the church.The family is at the home.Memorials may be made to Greer Community Ministries, P.O.
