William J. Atwell, 80, of Spanish Lakes Country Club, died June 30, 2007, at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach. He was born in Baltimore and lived in Spanish Lakes since 1982, coming from Baltimore. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Forces. He operated W.J. Atwell Food Services in Long Island, N.Y. He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach. Survivors include his wife, Delore Atwell of Spanish Lakes; sons, William A. Atwell of Minneapolis and Del M. Atwell of East Hampton, N.Y.; daughters, Dede Singleton of Salisbury, Md. and Paula LaFemina of Bowie, Md.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960. SERVICES: A memorial serv ice will take place in Maryland at a later date.
