William Howard Carter GUYTON - William Howard Carter, 79, died Thursday, June 7, 2007 at Candler Hospital. The Bacon County native was a longtime resident of Mississippi and retired as a machinist at a shipyard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor Carter and Mary Lee Martin, and son, Ronnie H. Carter. Survivors include his wife, Christine Beebe Carter of Guyton; sister, Coleen Eaton of Savannah; brother, Leo Carter of Garden City; special nieces, Krystal Elkins (Richard) of Guyton and Evelyn Rollinger (Ozzie) ; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel. Interment will be in Springfield Cemetery Annex.
