TOPSHAM - The committal service with full military honors for William Halley Morrison, 62, of Aurora, Colo. and a former Topsham resident, was held on Saturday, June 19, 2010, at 2 p.m. at the East Topsham Cemetery. He died Dec. 2, 2009, in Aurora, Colo.Rev. Michael Caldwell, pastor of the East Corinth Congregational Church, officiated and offered the committal prayers. Reflections were offered by friend, Stephen Tillotson who also read an original poem he had written.Military honors were provided by the Joint Force Headquarters Funeral Honor Guard of the Vermont Army National Guard. The flag was presented to wife, Elizabeth Saya Morrison by First Sgt. Daniel Landry.Following the service, family and friends gathered at the East Topsham Town Hall for a time of fellowship and refreshments.The Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy St., Barre was in charge of arrangements.
