LEE, William G. Age 92, of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, passed away Friday, September 18, 2009, at Troy Community Hospital. William was born May 11, 1917, son of the late Ona and Katie (Leonard) Lee. He was married to the late Frances (Scott) Lee who passed away in 1979. Prior to retirement, William operated a dairy farm and was also employed at the Springfield Township Department of Public Works. He attended Springfield Baptist Church and was a past member of the Odd Fellows. In his spare time, William enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching baseball. In July 2009 a book was published of William's memoirs, "Daddy-o's Journey into the Bygone Days" written by his daughters, Ruth Lee and Janice Wilcox. He was very proud of this memoir. Survivors include his children, Beatrice (Jack) Martin of Millerton, PA, Peggy Huber of Springfield, PA, Ruth Lee (Berry Estep) of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, Betty Keener (Robert Henninger) of Gillett, PA, Arlene (Loren) Myers of Athens, PA, Bill Lee (Jolie Dunham) of Sayre, PA, Nathan Lee (Dianne Parks) of Troy, PA, Minnie Lee (Tom Harps) of Erin, NY, Janice (Douglas) Wilcox of NC, Catherine (Richard) Camacho of Addison, NY; step-children, Lyle "Jr." Satterlee of Millerton, PA, Robert Satterlee of Phelps, NY, Audrey (Stanley) Folk of Rome, PA; two brothers, Lewis (Charlotte) Lee of Troy, PA, Theodore Lee of Columbia Cross Roads, PA; 16 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 8 step-great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins; and caretaker, Eugenia Ndambiri. Also surviving is his feline companion, "Rusty". William was predeceased by his parents; wife, Frances (Scott) Lee in 1979; a son, Ronald Lee; and his two sisters, Minnie Dann Ninninger and Sybil Lee. Family and friends are invited to call Tuesday, September 22, 2009, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA. William's service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 12 p.m. with Reverend George Ogden officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Big Pond, PA.
