William "Beetle" Lee left us unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 30, 2008. William was born on Sept. 26, 1946, in San Diego to Robert and Elizabeth Lee. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and sister, Barbara. William is survived by his beloved wife of over 25 years, Patricia; children, Teresa, Michele, Bobby, Delano, Dayna and David; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Brad; and sister, Beverly. William served the country he loved as a proud member of the 25th Infantry Division Artillery (Tropic Lightning) in Vietnam. "Beetle," as he was known by his many friends, loved to party and make people laugh. He was loved by all children and trusted by all dogs. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends, including the following: John and Monika Riemer, and Chris and Marsha Rangey; his "critters," Christine "Lil Bit" and Tim Paulk, Bonnie "B.K." and Heather; and his Renegade brothers, Doc, Crash, Joey and Child. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Aug. 2 at American Legion Post 75, 898 E. James Lee Blvd., Crestview, Fla. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Legion Post 75 Scholarship Fund; or to a charity of your choice. Brackney Funeral Service, Crestview, is in charge of arrangements.
