Obituary of William-Dennis-Hopkins Sr


William Dennis Hopkins Sr. 58, Born April 17, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan. Raised to glory Fri., Jan. 11th, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Shirley, six children, Dennette Peninger of Bushnell, Fl. Denise Plummer of Seffner, Fl. Ron Hopkins of Orlando, Sandy Dixon of Atlanta, Scott Dixon of Atlanta, Shawn Scott of Orlando. Six grandchildren Toni Marie, Christopher, Jennifer, Jessica, Devin, Jamie. Parents Florence and Del Hopkins of Orlando. Brothers Jimmy Hopkins of Texas, and Tom Hopkins of Orlando, several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by a son, William Dennis Hopkins, Jr. on Dec. 5th,1968 and a brother Bob Hopkins. He was employed by Merita Bakeries for 40 years and partnered with his wife in their business, Wedding Bells by Shirley. He was a member of Masonic Lodge Pine Castle 368, Order of the Eastern Star 321 and Scottish Rite. His Strength and love for his family and friends will endure in the hearts of many forever. Everyone who had the honor of knowing him was touched by his gentleness, patience and wonderful sense of humor. In lieu of flowers the family have asked that a donation be made to Hospice of Orange/Osceola. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday January 15, 2002, 4PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Johnson of Praire Lake Baptist Church, Maitland officiating. Arrangements under the direction of WOODLAWN FUNERAL AND MEMORIAL PARK (407) 293-1361.
