DUTHIE, William James Moffatt Passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness June 10th 2010. Late of Arthur Drive Delta, BC. He was born April 26th, 1925 in Sardis, BC. He received his early education in the Chilliwack area, he joined the R.C.A.F. in 1943 and was in the Canadian Merchant Navy for a short time travelling around the world visiting many ports. He was a chiropractor for 14 years and then became a teacher for the Richmond school board for 25 years. He was very active in the Air Cadet (# 806 wing Richmond) movement for 25 years. He started the first Indian girl's pipe band in 1956. He delighted in former pupils and air cadets getting in touch with him over the years, he was an avid model railroader and golfer for many years. He is predeceased by his son William Bruce in 1962. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Theda; his devoted daughter Gail Duthie; granddaughters Chelsey M. Rodda and Paige M. Rodda also numerous nephews and nieces in the Hamilton Ontario Area. Memorial Service is to be held on Saturday, June 19th, 2010 at Ladner United Church 4960 48th Avenue Delta. Service will start at 1:00 pm to be followed by a reception at the church.
