->MEDWAY - William D. Montgomery, 61, passed away after a long battle with cancer Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, with his family by his side. He was born March 26, 1951, at Smith Pond, the son of Fred and Leona (Bouchard) Montgomery.Billy worked at Great Northern Paper Co. for 33 years before retiring. He enjoyed playing pool, horseshoes, fishing and hunting. He enjoyed going to the Country Diner with his friends.Billy is survived by five children, William Montgomery and his companion, Tanya, of Reno, Nev., Wanda Grant and her husband, Ira, of Medway, Rhonda Madore and her husband, Mark, of Millinocket, Candy Coady and her husband, James, of Canton and Timothy Montgomery and his wife, Becky, of Medway; seven grandchildren, Joshua, Brenden, Fred, Tressa, Krystal, Jessaca and Everett; siblings, Bob, Dickey and Leslie Montgomery, Beverly Pelkey, Helen Blanchette, Carol Robinson, Virginia Thibodeau and Rose Bragdon; a special friend, Monica Lau of Patten; many friends, nieces, nephews and cousins. He will also be missed by his best canine friend, Misty. In addition to his parents, Billy was predeceased by a granddaughter, Bailey Grant; brothers, Gene, Ronnie and Fred; and sisters, Mona and Marlene.Friends are invited to visit with the family 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket, with funeral services beginning 3 p.m. with the Rev.
