CARTER, William "Nick" L., 83, of New Port Richey, passed away November 9, 2004, at Regional Medical Center of Bayonet Point. He was born June 24, 1921, in Philadelphia, Pa., and came here seven years ago from Vidor, Texas. He was retired from Dupont Corp. in Beaumont, Texas. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church and a World War II Navy Sea Bee veteran. He was a member of F&AM in Beaumont, the Florida Naval Sailors Association Inc., U.S. Navy Sea Bees Association and the Pipe Fitters Local #195. Survivors include two sons, Don Cantrell of Livingston, Texas, and Ron Cantrell of Austin, Texas; three daughters, Sandra Laliberte of New Port Richey, Evangeline Ott of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Jeanne Byerly of Nordheim, Texas; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady Queen of Peace.
