Lt. Col. William C. Lee (Ret.), 77, of Lynn Haven, FL, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013.Survivors include his beloved wife of 44 years, Peggy Lee; and three daughters, Shannon Lee Robinson, Donna Lee Himel and Terry Lee Rich. Bill is also survived by nine grandchildren, Tyler, Hannah and Ryan Robinson, Britni Robinson Darsey, Drew, Brad, Chris and Josh Himel and Cameron Rich.Bill grew up in Hampton, GA, and graduated from Griffin High School where he played football. He graduated from The University of Wyoming where he attended on a football scholarship. Bill entered the United States Air Force in July of 1959 and served for 22 years, retiring from Tyndall Air Force Base in December 1981. Bill was a highly decorated Vietnam Veteran officer, receiving many awards including the Bronze Star and the Meritorious Service Medal.An avid golfer, Bill enjoyed his "dog-fight" group from Pelican Point Golf Course. He was known for his witty sense of humor and practical jokes.In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill's name can be made to Covenant Hospice. The family would like to thank all of the outstanding care givers for their help during this difficult time.
