Castonguay, Willard George Pierre (90) "Bill" Castonguay of North Hollywood, died September 2 at Long Beach Memorial Hospital. Born in Prescott, AZ on May 4, 1915, he moved to the Los Angeles area at age four, where he spent most of his life. Mr. Castonguay, a successful restaurateur, owned and operated The Red Barn Restaurant in the San Fernando Valley for more than 22 years. A World War II Navy veteran, he was also a member of the Free Masons, Shriner's, Knights Templar of California, Elks Club, International Order of Saint Hubert, and The Old Guard, City of Philadelphia. An avid hunter, Bill traveled extensively, world-wide, as a member of the Shikar Safari Club. He is survived by sons Peter Castonguay of New Castle, NH, Dennis Priddy of Manchester, NH; daughters Maridon Estes of Culver City, Sally Adair, Lynn Blythe of Vancouver, WA, Angela Anselmo of West Hills; brother Kenneth Castonguay of Xenia, OH; sister Thelma Burch of North Hollywood; grandchildren Kim, Nicole, Lyssa, Matthew, Patty, Megan, Peter, Anthony, Tiffany, Jason, and Erin; great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends. A celebration of his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 8 at The Chapel at Eternal Valley Memorial Park in Newhall, CA, followed by a private burial service, for the immediate family.
