OWENS, WESLEY BERNARD "BERNIE", 88 Ocala - Wesley Bernard "Bernie" Owens, 88, of Ocala, Florida died Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at West Marion Community Hospital. He was born in Syracuse, New York on June 30, 1918 and moved to Ocala in 1985 from Liverpool, New York where he was a Machinist for 40 plus years at Roll Way Bearing Company. He was a member of Ocala West United Methodist Church and loved playing golf and shooting pool. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, "Trudie" Owens of Ocala, FL; son, James D. Owens of Houston, Texas; 2 grandchildren, Jessica D. Owens and Oliver W. Owens, both of Hillsdale, New York and he was predeceased by his daughter Kathleen D. Owen Fay. There will be a memorial celebration at Ocala United Methodist Church, 9330 SW 105th St. Ocala, FL on Saturday, October 7, 2006 at 3:30 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church just prior to service time. In lieu of flowers the family request donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 43 Skyline Dr., Suite 2051, Lake Mary, FL, 32746 in memory of Mr. Wesley Bernard "Bernie" Owens.
