Wayne Thomas Anderson, age 70, of Sheffield, passed away Friday, July 11, 2014. Visitation will be Monday, July 14, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Spry~Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. John S. Connell officiating. Burial will be at Sheffield Oakwood Cemetery.Pallbearers are Barry Anderson, Shane Anderson, Destin Anderson, Mark Green, Justin Anderson and Eric Nayman. Honorary pallbearer is Ricky Anderson.Wayne loved spending time with his family and watching Alabama football.He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Myrtle Anderson; maternal grandparents, George and Josie Batrum; paternal grandparents, Charles and Eula Anderson; son, Vernon Wayne Anderson; brothers, Vernon Anderson, Carl Anderson and Leslie Anderson.Survivors are his children, Eddie Anderson (Debbie), Chris Anderson (Lori), Mark Anderson (Crystal) and Joel Anderson; step-daughter, Laura Terry (Fred); sister, Joyce Despigno; brothers, Houston Anderson, Clyde Anderson, Calvin Anderson and Paul Anderson; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.A special thanks to Helen Keller Hospital ICU third floor for their love and care.
