Obituary of Wayne-Reginald Hall

Wayne Reginald Hall January 31, 1939 December 16, 2005 The family of Wayne Hall announces that he entered his heavenly rest on Friday, December 16, 2005 at the Palliative Care Unit, St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon, SK. Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Margaret, son Jonathan and his wife Mandy, daughters Samantha and Miranda and grandchildren Jacob and Toni. He is also survived by sister-in-law Helen Hall, Uncle Harold Paulsen and his wife Almie, nieces, nephews, cousins and other much-loved inlaws and relatives. Wayne was predeceased by his parents Gunnar (1945) and Anna (1999), brothers Earle (2000), Gunnar (2000) and Dale (1984), and sisters-in-law Rita (1994) and Eileen (1986). Wayne was born in Birnie, Manitoba and moved to Erickson, Manitoba following his father's death. It was here Wayne received his education and developed a love of sports (hockey, curling, baseball, roller skating, golfing, football) that would last throughout his life. Wayne completed his education in Outlook at L.C.B.I. and attended Camrose Lutheran College for one year. On August 14, 1965 Wayne and Margaret were married in Birtle, Manitoba and Wayne's employment in the Co-operative Retail System provided the opportunity to live and work in Beausejour, Gilbert Plains, Minnedosa, and Carman, Manitoba. From 1978 1986 they owned and operated Newman Hall Agencies in Carman prior to rejoining the Co-op in 1987 in Hudson Bay, SK. In 1990 Wayne transferred to the Audit Department of Federated Cooperatives Ltd in Saskatoon. Following a long and rewarding career with the Co-operative System, Wayne retired on June 7, 2004. Whether playing, watching or cheering, Wayne was an avid sports fan and never gave up his loyal support of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Wayne and Margaret enjoyed travel to many wonderful spots including Florida, California, eastern and western Canada as well as cruises to the Caribbean and Alaska. His church, his family and his friends were the focus of Wayne's life and he loved them all dearly. He had a strong Christian faith that sustained him throughout his life. He loved to sing, always finding a spot in the church choir. Wayne will be forever loved and missed by his loving family, and many friends and associates. A Life Celebration Service will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Abundant Life Lutheran Church (502 Perehudoff Cres) conducted by Pastors Brian Pechman and Stephen Nuss.
